Gutter installation in Tampa, Florida

Wayne Gonzalez Roofing Contractor, Inc. installs gutters across Tampa and Hillsborough County. We are a Florida Certified Roofing Contractor, licence CCC1325942, working out of 5625 Patterson Rd in Riverview. Gutters are fitted by our own crews, not subcontracted out, and the estimate is free. Why a roofer and not a gutter company

Gutters hang off the fascia, and the fascia is part of the roof. Nearly every gutter problem we get called to is really a roof problem wearing a disguise: rotten fascia that will not hold a hanger, a drip edge that sends water behind the gutter instead of into it, or a valley dumping half the roof into eight feet of gutter that was never sized for it.

A gutter crew will hang the gutter. A roofing contractor will tell you why the last one failed. We would rather fix the cause once than hang the same gutter twice, and if the fascia is gone we can replace it while we are up there instead of sending you to somebody else.

What we fit

  • Seamless aluminium. Rolled on site to the length of your run, so the only joins are at corners and outlets. Joins are where gutters leak, so fewer is better.
  • Sizing that matches the roof, not the house. Florida rain does not arrive gently. A long roof plane draining into one downspout will overflow in a summer storm no matter how well the gutter is hung. We size the run and the number of outlets off the area actually draining into it.
  • Downspouts that carry water away from the slab. The point of a gutter is not the gutter. It is keeping water off your foundation, out of your soffit, and away from the flowerbeds against the wall.
  • Hangers into solid timber. If the fascia will not take a screw, the fascia gets dealt with first. Hanging new gutter on rotten fascia is the single most common shortcut in this trade.

Signs the gutters you have are finished

  • Water sheeting over the front edge in any decent rain.
  • Sections pulling away from the fascia, or visibly sagging between hangers.
  • Staining or streaking down the wall underneath a join.
  • Soil washed out, or mulch moved, in a line under the eave.
  • Seams weeping, or rust at the outlets on older steel gutter.
  • Anything growing in them.

How the job runs

We come out and measure, look at the fascia and the roof edge, and write you an estimate with the scope on it. That is free and there is no follow up call unless you ask for one.

On the day, the gutter is rolled on site to the exact run. Most single family houses are a one day job. The crew that turns up is on our payroll, covered by workers compensation and general liability, which is worth asking any contractor who is about to climb a ladder on your property.

Full detail on the service is on our Tampa gutter installation page.

Frequently asked

Do you do gutters on their own, or only with a roof?

On their own. Plenty of our gutter work has nothing to do with a roof job.

Seamless or sectional?

Seamless aluminium, rolled on site. Sectional gutter is cheaper to buy and leaks at every join, and in this climate that shows up fast.

Can you replace rotten fascia at the same time?

Yes. We are a roofing contractor, so fascia, soffit and drip edge are our work, not a different trade you have to book separately.

How long does a house take?

Most single family homes are done in a day.

Are you licensed and insured?

Florida licence CCC1325942, Certified Roofing Contractor, active and registered in Hillsborough and Pasco counties. Every employee is covered by workers compensation and general liability. BBB accredited since 2008.
